Two men were injured Monday afternoon when a freight elevator dropped at 60 Hudson Street, the landmark former Western Union Building in Tribeca that serves as a hub for major telecommunications companies.

The victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital for multiple trauma injuries, which were non-life-threatening, an FDNY spokeswoman said.
