Beginning Monday, Jan. 11, Battery Park City’s Public Library, 175 North End Ave., opens for “grab-and-go” services.

A small area of the library will be available for patrons to pick up, check out and drop off library materials that had been requested online or over the phone. People who had reserved items before the branch’s temporary closure will be notified that their materials can be picked up.

In the meantime, fines will not accrue on checkout items at least until this June, Dawn Chance, associate director for the Lower Manhattan Neighborhood Library Network, said in an email to cardholders.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 12 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday.
