Cooking Classes at The Fulton Stall Market

A dumpling-making workshop is on August 21.

Three cooking workshops are coming this month to The Fulton Stall Market, 91 South St. Tickets can be purchased here.

Aug. 14, 6-8 pm. Hot Sauceology Workshop

Tim from Pepplish Provisions will discuss the science and art of making hot sauce or any other shelf stable jarred food products. Participants will make their own hot sauce to take home. Food and refreshments will be served during the workshop.

Aug. 21, 6:30-9:30 pm. Homemade Chinese Dumplings Making Workshop

Instructor Siyu shows how to make traditional northern Chinese dumplings from scratch, including how to make the wraps and the stuffing, and three different ways of wrapping them. After a demonstration of how to boil and fry them, everyone makes their own dumplings.

Aug. 28, 6-8 pm. Pickling and Vinegar

Professional preserver and chef Diana Egnatz teaches how to pickle summer fruits and vegetables, liven up summer drinks with shrubs (a concentrate of fruit, sugar, and vinegar), and incorporate these pantry items into everyday cooking. Each student will leave with their own jar of a savory pickle, sweet pickle, and fruit shrub.
