Downtown Firehouses Are Open Houses on June 16
The "10-10 House" on Liberty Street is among the Downtown fire stations that will open to visitors on June 16.
Four Downtown firehouses will be part of the annual Firehouse Open House on Saturday, June 16. Throughout the day firefighters, paramedics and EMTs will talk about fire and safety, conduct demonstrations, discuss the department’s history, and give tours of FDNYengines, ladders and ambulances.
Free smoke/carbon monoxide alarms, fire safety coloring books, fire helmets for children and educational material promoting fire and life safety tips will also be distributed.
