City of Water Day, the region’s largest harbor festival, will take place this year on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The heart of the family festival will be in Lower Manhattan's Seaport District, though numerous community groups and organizations are hosting their own City of Water Day In Your Neighborhood events.

In addition to dozens of activities for children, including musical performances, face painting, fishing, arts and crafts, there will be the popular cardboard kayak race, live music, educational activities, giveaways, and more. There will also be narrated boat tours.

The event, organized by Waterfront Alliance, is free.
