HOMETOWN HALLOWEEN

Hometown Halloween features a graveyard trick-or-treat and the silent movie Phantom of the Opera with improvisational organ accompaniment. Churchyard Trick-or-Treat Tired of trick-or-treating inside an apartment building? Come to the historic Trinity churchyard this Halloween from 3-5 PM to trick-or-treat with the “permanent residents” of Lower Manhattan. Don’t miss the hot apple cider, photo booth, and a chance to win a prize. Costumes encouraged! Silent Movie with Organ Improvisation At 7:00 PM, Justin Bischof, one of the most prominent concert organists and improvisers in the world today presents a chilling organ accompaniment to the haunting 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera. Utilizing his improvisational skills, Justin creates an incredible musical experience with a spontaneous composition from the organ -- on the spot -- to accompany the film. Events are free and open to the public. Trick-or-treating is intended for families with young children. The silent movie may be inappropriate for children under the age of 10. Donations accepted.
