Hyundai Motor Group is the buyer of 15 Laight Street, the recently completed 8-story office building at the corner of Varick. According to GlobeStreet, the Korea-based automaker paid $275 million for the 108,000 square-foot property, formerly the site of a movie theater and Tribeca Film Festival screening venue. The Vanbarton-developed building, designed by Gensler, will house offices and a ground-door car showroom.
