The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in finding the man who they believe is connected with three break-ins at Lower Manhattan restaurants in recent weeks. In the first and third incidents, the man made off with money; in the second, he left empty-handed.

On Dec. 28, the suspect broke the lower portion of the front door at Obao Restaurant, 28 Water St., police said. Once inside, he removed $400 from two cash registers and fled through the front door.

Police say they believe the same man used a fire hydrant cap to smash the glass door of Tribeca's Anejo Restaurant, 31 Walker St., on Jan. 6 at 12:40 a.m. After entering, according to surveillance video, he looked around and then left without taking anything.

Authorities are also connecting the suspect with a break-in at Arome Cafe II, 7 Dey Street, on Jan. 15 at 2:45 a.m., where the thief took about $1,600 from two cash registers before fleeing.

Anyone with information about these break-ins should notify Det. Federico Irizarry at 212-334-0635 or Detective Borough Manhattan South at 212-477-7447.
