A puppet shadow show at the Mid-Autumn Moon Family Festival
The Museum of Chinese in America's annual Mid-Autumn Moon Family Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 12-4 pm. The museum is at 215 Centre St.
Kids can build a kaleidoscope from a cardboard tube, construct and decorate shadow puppets, design a own mooncake pattern out of foam shapes, have their fces painter and hear a storyteller.
There will be a mooncake tasting, courtesy of Fay Da Bakery, and a demonstration by an expert calligrapher and kids can learn simple brushstroke techniques and how to write the Chinese character for moon 月.
