"New Skin" at Monica King Contemporary
From left to right: "Interior Pleasure" by Jason Stopa, "Elegy" by Juan Logan and "Halcyon Distress" by Shirley Kaneda.
To Jan. 25. New Skin features work by artists Michael Berryhill, Clare Grill, Shirley Kaneda, Juan Logan, and Jason Stopa. The artists’ styles are distinct yet united by the use of quasi-representational elements. The works convey an interest in a discreet sense of touch, using decorative and architectural space that flirts with representation and evokes a liminal space of legibility.
