No Loot for Suspect in Attempt to Rob Tribeca's Capital One Bank

Police are looking for a man they say tried to rob Tribeca’s Capital One bank at 90 West Broadway Monday afternoon, but got away empty-handed.

According to police, the man approached a teller shortly before 1 p.m. and passed a note demanding money. After the teller walked away from the window and didn’t return, the man fled, going eastbound on Chambers Street. Cops did not disclose the wording of the note.

The suspect is described as a 30-to-35-year-old black male last seen wearing a black knit cap, black sunglasses, black gloves, a dark colored hooded jacket and red sweatpants.
