Nov. 8 and 15: Two Comedian Nights

Comedian, writer, and podcaster Hari Kondabolu—called “one of the most exciting political comics in stand-up today” by The New York Times—gives a solo show at Schimmel Center on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Hari has released three comedy albums including Waiting for 2042 and Mainstream American Comic. A former writer and correspondent on the Chris Rock-produced FX TV show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, in 2017, he released his documentary “The Problem with Apu” on truTV.

On Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at 7:30 p.m., Schimmel Center presents three-time Emmy Award winning comedian Louie Anderson in a solo show. Recognized by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time,” Louie’s career has spanned more than 30 years. He is a best-selling author, star of his own stand-up specials and sitcoms, and continues to tour the country. Louie won his most recent Emmy Award in 2016 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Christine Baskets, Zach Galifianakis’ mother, on the FX series Baskets. Louie shares the ups and downs of his childhood experiences as one of 11 children in Minnesota throughout his standup routines.
