Two Tribeca stores were struck by armed robbers in a single day this week.

On Wednesday, Sept. 29, a knife-wielding man got away with unspecified merchandise from the 7-Eleven at 311 Broadway around 10 a.m., police said.  Shortly before 2 p.m., they said, a man took underwear from the Lot-Less at 97 Chambers St. When the store’s 60-year-old security guard tried to stop him, the robber brandished a gun, then fled west on Chambers. There were no injuries in either incident. Police say they believe different men were involved in the two robberies. Investigations are ongoing.
