It’s About Time: Writing Workshop for Seniors with Dave Johnson
Wednesdays and Fridays, June 19 to June 28, 3-5 pm
Reading open to the public, Friday, June 28, 7 pm

At Poets House, 20 River Terrace

Whether you’ve traveled the world or lived your whole life in New York, Poets House invites you to join this free workshop to write about the city. You will create narrative poems employing free verse, villanelle, haiku, concrete poems, and spoken word as well as other forms. 

All are welcome; poets 55 years and older are especially encouraged to attend.

In this free workshop, participants will write poems from their own lives as well as engage with gay history as they have lived it, and with the gay community generally. The workshop will focus on reading aloud and revision suggestions. Following the workshop friends and family are invited to an open reading.
