A woman, 29, was stabbed Sunday, Dec. 26, around 8 a.m. on the southbound A train near the Canal Street station, police said. The suspect engaged in an argument with the victim before displaying a knife and stabbing her in the left abdomen and the groin area, then fled the train at Canal Street, police said. EMS transported the victim from the Chambers Street station to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to police. The suspect is described as a male black in his mid 40s, 5’8”, wearing blue jeans, red-and-black jacket, multicolored sneakers and a maroon hat.

Man robbed of backpack, punched on 1 Train
Police want to find the unidentified robbery suspect shown in this recently released video. On Dec. 4, around 3:30 p.m., police say, a man tried to grab the backpack from a 43-year-old straphanger on the 1 train as it entered the Rector Street station. A struggle ensued and the robber punched the victim in the face, causing minor injuries, before getting off at Rector Street. Police say he fled with the backpack, containing two foreign passports and $40.

Woman pepper sprayed, punched during robbery
Police have released surveillance photos of three women, approximately 16 to 21 years old, who they say are suspects in the assault and robbery of a 36-year-old woman on lower Greenwich Street on Thursday, Dec. 9.
Police say that shortly after 7 p.m. the suspects asked the victim for directions in front of 70 Greenwch St., then sprayed her with pepper spray and punched her in the face before taking her bag and fleeing north on Greenwich. The woman was taken to the hospital with facial injuries. The bag contained the victim’s wallet, sunglasses and air pods with a total value of about $4,000. The suspects made more than $500 in charges on the victim’s credit card, police said.
