The Tribeca Film Festival returns on April 18 for its 17th year, with 96 feature-length movies from 103 filmmakers (nearly half of them directed by women). As one of the leading presenters of documentaries, the festival will debut 45 non-fiction films during its 12-day run. Twenty-two countries are represented in the festival’s Shorts Film program.

Movies, of course, are not all the festival offers. There are post-screening conversations (Brian De Palma, Al Pacino, Steven Spielberg among them) and still more stellar names featured in Tribeca Talks.

Then there are the 21 virtual and augmented reality exhibits as well as Cinema360, a VR theater presenting four screening programs at Spring Studios in Tribeca.
