Two people received minor injuries from a fire Friday night at 56 Pine Street, authorities said. The FDNY could not confirm the ages of the victims but two young children were seen being treated by medics and taken away from the building on stretchers. The fire, reported at 9:56 p.m., was limited to the 16th floor of the 17-story building and took about an hour to bring under control, an FDNY spokeswoman said. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
