The Washington Market Park Board meets 10/8, 7–9 p.m., Chart Room, SoHo Grand Hotel, 310 W. Broadway.

The Planning and Community Infrastructure Committee meets 10/2 to consider a 421-a tax abatement application for 40 Gold St and to discuss proposed changes to the city’s Uniform Land Use Review Process.

The WTC Redevelopment Committee meets 10/6 at 250 Broadway, 19th Floor to hear updates from Port Authority executive director Christopher Ward, as well as an update on the Fulton Street Transit Center from MTA Director of Special Project Development and Planning William Wheeler and Program Manager Uday Durg.

The Battery Park City Committee meets 10/7 at 1 World Financial Center, 24th Floor to hear a Report on plans for reconstruction of the south promenade between Albany Street and W. Thames Street, and continuation of a discussion about PEP officer coverage in Battery Park City

The Seaport/Civic Center Committee meets 10/14 for a discussion with the Friends of City Hall Park.

The CB1 Executive Committee meets 10/15 at 5:30 p.m. at the South Street Seaport Museum, 12 Fulton St., to discuss the board’s capital and expense budget requests for FY 2010.

A special Committee of the Whole meets 10/15 at 6:30 p.m. at the South Street Seaport Museum, 12 Fulton St., to pass a resolution on General Growth Properties plans for a new South Street Seaport on behalf of the Landmarks Committee.

The Landmarks Committee meets 10/15 at 7:30 p.m. at the South Street Seaport Museum, 12 Fulton St., to consider an application for rooftop addition for five story residential building at 81 Franklin Street.

The Quality of Life Committee meets 10/16 to hear an update on Construction Projects in Lower Manhattan by Robin Forst, Director of Community and Government Relations, LMCCC, and to discuss legal and illegal vendor issues for possible future resolution.

The Street Fair Task Force meets 10/22 for a discussion with Joe Giovanni of Mardi Gras Festival Productions about his experience with 2008 Street Fairs.

The Tribeca Committee meets 10/23 at 5:30 p.m. for a continuing discussion of proposed rezoning in North Tribeca, as well as liquor license applications for 12-14 Desbrosses St., 143 Chambers St., 175 Franklin St., 114 Franklin St. and 323 Church St.

The Waterfront Committee meets 10/20 to discuss Phase One of the East River Waterfront Esplanade Plan Implementation Plan.

The Youth & Education Committee meets 10/21 to hear an update from NY State Assembly Speaker Silver’s Task Force on School Overcrowding by Paul Goldstein, District Office Director, to discuss local CB#1 school space needs and for a presentation about General Growth Properties programs for youth.

The full CB #1 Monthly Meeting will be held 10/28 at the Southbridge Towers, Community Room, 90 Beekman Street.
