A security guard at a Duane Reade store observed a man putting 76 packs of gum, valued at $113, in his pocket and attempting to leave without paying for the merchandise. The store had a prior trespassing notice for the 42-year-old man. He was arrested.

When a candy store operator arrived in the morning to open his store, he found that someone had removed the locks from his front gates, entered the establishment, and stolen $2,000 in cash, $1,500 in phone cards, and lottery tickets of an unknown value.

A 33-year-old Bronx man reported that he was assaulted by three men outside the Patriot Bar. The victim sustained a fracture to his cheek and bruising.

An unknown man took miscellaneous property including clothing, candy and a blood pressure meter valued at $200 from the office drawer of a woman, then fell asleep. When awakened and asked what he was doing in the building, he said, “Dude, I don’t even know where I am,” and left with the items.

A Manhattan woman was pushing her toddler in a stroller when a man came up behind her and took an iPhone out of her pocket. She was struggling with the man while holding on to her stroller when police arrived and arrested the 31-year-old assailant.

A man propped his door open and went down the hall to throw out his garbage. Upon returning, he found his wallet missing. It contained credit cards and $60.

A woman’s $1,995 Hugo Boss watch was stolen from inside her apartment. There were no signs of forced entry, but the woman had recently authorized the building manager to let contractors in her apartment to fix her heating unit.

A 55-year-old woman from Brooklyn reported that a man bumped into her inside a discount clearance store, and when she approached the cash register to pay she discovered that $200 was missing from the outside pocket of her purse.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man after officers saw him grabbing a 17-year-old Staten Island girl by the throat.

When a New Jersey woman went to pay for her lunch, she noticed that her wallet was missing from her purse. Half an hour later, unauthorized purchases were made on her missing Visa card.

A Broadway business sent a messenger to pick up $3,000 in cash from a customer. The messenger, a 33-year-old Manhattan man, picked up the money, but never delivered it, and did not return to work.

An unknown trespasser entered the Tribeca Dental Studio, which is under renovation, and removed $1,200 worth of the contractor’s tools. There were no signs of forced entry.
