The Keiko Fujii Dance Company of Osaka, Japan, returns to New York with the U.S. premiere of Fujii's "Tamashii No Tibiki II" (Soul Vibrations). The concert will feature Keiko Fujii (at right, photo by Olivier Koning) joined by an ensemble of New York dancers, performing to music by Kenny Endo in the taiko style of drummong.
Formed in Osaka in 1983, the company made its U.S. debut over 30 years ago and has returned for performances at Lincoln Center, City Center, and the Kaye Playhouse. They have also performed in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Hawaii.
