But LPC calls for more alterations to facade
The design for a 17,000 square-foot, five-story mansion at 11 Hubert Street, lambasted by Community Board 1 as “cold” and “hostile” and rejected by the Landmarks Preservation Commission, has been revamped and appears closer to winning approval. The revised version addressed the foreboding ground floor facade and a number of other objections by the Commission during a December hearing, though still not to its full satisfaction when the revised design was presented in March. The architects need to return with additional modifications, according to CITYLAND, which has a detailed account [1] of the revised project and its hearing before the LPC.
