Crime Reports in the 1st Precinct
Police say that on Sept. 2 at 1:45 a.m. the person pictured here is suspected of approaching a 62-year-old man on the northbound “1” train platform in the World Trade Center and forcibly removing his bag. Following a struggle, police say, the suspect jumped onto the tracks and crossed onto the southbound platform and fled with the bag in an unknown direction. The victim suffered an abrasion to his hand but refused medical attention. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
Assault and robbery on 'N' Train at Whitehall
Police released surveillance video of a suspect in the assault and robbery of a man, 24, aboard the southbound “N” train at the subway station at Whitehall and State Street. Police say that on Aug. 6 around 5:20 a.m., the suspect pushed the victim to the floor and forcibly took the man’s $1,800 necklace before leaving the train. The suspect was last seen on surveillance cameras at Brooklyn subway station, boarding a Manhattan-bound train. No injuries were reported. Armed robbery on Fulton St.
A man took clothing from a display at the Lot Less, 95 Fulton St. around 1:30 p.m. and concealed them as he tried to leave the store. When he was approached he displayed a gun and fled on foot. No arrests were made.
Hatchet attack in FiDi ATM vestibule
After entering the Chase Bank ATM vestibule at 42 Broadway at 5:22 p.m. on Aug 15, a 50-year-old man came under attack by a hatchet wielding male, who struck the victim multiple times in the head and leg. In surveillance video [1] obtained by the Daily News, the victim is seen trying to fend off the black-masked attacker before being brutally and repeatedly struck. The assailant then smashes the screens of the ATM machines before dropping the hatchet on the floor and exiting the vestibule. The wounded victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. On Aug. 18, police arrested Aaron Garcia, 37, of Yonkers. He was charged with attempted murder. assault, and criminal mischief. CBS New York quotes a police source as saying there was an open warrent for Garcia's arrest and that, in Yonkers, he has been arrested five times, for stalking, harrassment and a violation of an order of protection.
Police looking for three men in Downtown robberies
Police are looking for a trio, seen in the NYPD-supplied video below, who are suspects in three robberies and two assaults in Lower Manhattan on Monday, Aug. 2.
At 6 p.m. police say, a group approached a clerk, 66, at Leonards News, 349 Broadway, punched him and stole gum and a can of coke. The victim refused medical attention. A 40-year-old store clerk at Fulton Smoke Shop, 50 Fulton St. was approached at 7:30 p.m. by a group that demanded property, then fled empty handed. Fifteen minutes later a group punched the clerk at New Jubilee News, 135 William St. and took an e-cigarette.

Two suspected shoplifters, ages 49 and 31, were arrested and charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Police say one of the men tried to steal clothing, valued at $142, and the other attempted to take household goods, with no value given. Between Feb. 1 and July 25, the 1st Precinct reported 33 incidents of shoplifting at the Target store. July 25 was the final date that the 1st Precinct provided crime reports to the Trib.
A man approached a 26-year-old woman on the northbound train, displayed a boxcutter and demanded her property. He fled the station with the victim’s sweater. She was not injured. 7/25, 4:45 pm, Battery Park opposite 17 Battery Pl.
A suspect approached a 61-year-old man and told him to show his pockets, displaying a small handgun from the satchel he was wearing across his chest. The victim walked away and the suspect fled before being arrested. Police say that Tyrell Testamark, 22, from the Bronx, was charged with robbery, criminal possession of a firearm and menacing.
7/25, 5:50 am, opposite 2 Broadway
While stopped for a traffic light, a man approached the victim's car and demanded that the driver give him all his money, while simulating a handgun with his fingers. The driver frantically tried to get away, making a left on Stone Street and crashing his vehicle into an unoccupied parked car.
7/24, 2:01 pm, North Moore St., near West Street
Thieves in a white van drove up to a parked and locked motorcycle. Two men then opened a side door, lifted the motorcycle and put it inside. The car then proceeded west on North Moore Street and turned south on West Street.

A thief used an illegal key card to enter the building and enter a WeWork office. He then forced open the door to the mailroom and stole multiple packages.

A man was seen on a security camera entering the main lobby and waiting for the bike room door to open. Once inside, police say he was seen taking a Trek bike and exiting from the South William Street and Broad Street door.

A man parked his scooter on the street. When he returned, it was gone.
9/19/21 6:21 p.m., 4 South St.
A suspect asked a 41-year-old male for a cigarette. When the man refused the suspect punched him repeatedly, causing him to fall onto an escalator and cut his head. After fleeing, police said, the suspect “forcefully” pushed past an officer trying to restrain him, causing the 51-year-old male officer to sustain serious injuries. The suspect, Philip Lowe, 34, of East Harlem, was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer, assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.

A man’s car was stolen after he left it unlocked with the key in the glove compartment. The victim said he usually leaves the vehicle unlocked and the key in the glove compartment in case hotel staff need to move the car for any reason. The thief was seen on video walking past the vehicle, then returning back and entering through the driver’s side. Further surveillance imagery showed the car headed toward the Brooklyn Bridge and later to Staten Island on the Verrazano Bridge.

While walking on the A/C/E platform, a man became the victim of a female mugger who snatched a chain from his neck and also took a phone from his hand. The assailant also hit the victim with her bag, causing scratches to his neck.

UPDATE 7/28/21 Police say the victim, Than Wtwe Than of Brooklyn, succumbed to her injuries on July 20. They are looking for David Robinson, 52, in connection with the attack.
As a 22-year-old man and his 58-year-old mother were walking up the subway stairs, a man tried to grab the backpack of the male victim, who reportedly grabbed his mother as he fell, and the two toppled down the stairs together. EMS transported the woman to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition with a head injury. The robber fled back into the subway station. A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with robbery after taking three packs of gum from a display and then striking a man, 61, when the man tried to grab the items away from him. The victim suffered laceration to his face and was treated at the scene.

A stranger approached a man from behind and slashed him repeatedly with a knife. The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital.

A man, 38, threw a wooden birdhouse at a 41-year-old woman as she was walking, striking her in the thigh and causing pain and swelling. The man was arrested.

A woman received a call from someone claiming to be a Zelle representative who asked if she had made a transaction for $5,000. When she declined the transaction, she received another call from a person claiming to be from Chase Fraud Protection and asked her to verify her information. The woman complied and then discovered that $2,464.10 was stolen from her checking account.

Someone called the restaurant and claimed to be from Con Ed and stated that he owed $998.36. He then received an email from the same person saying he could pay over the phone. He called an 800 number in the email and was told to send the money by Zelle. He did. After sending $1,996.72 he realized he had been scammed.

When he continued walking, the other man struck him with an object on the cheek under his left eye, causing a laceration. The victim identified the assailant on the scene and he was arrested. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. The alleged assailant, 74, was charged with 2nd degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

A man who was sleeping on the sidewalk when another man struck him with a broom in the abdomen and on the face. The alleged attacker, 28, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

A man put $1,218 worth of cosmetics and skin care products in a Target bag and walked out of the store without paying.
6/30, 5 pm, 1 Bowling Green
A woman was docking Citi Bikes when someone started arguing with her. A second person distracted her, picked up a Citi Bike from the ground, and rode away with it.

When the doors opened at the station, a thief snatched a gold necklace valued at $491 from a woman's neck and fled.
6/29, a little after midnight, Center St. & Park Row
A man ordered an Uber, and was asked if he was going to New Jersey. The rider said yes, but after the car arrived, he told the driver he was going to Brooklyn and the driver canceled the ride. An argument ensued. The driver exited the car, saying, "Do you want to die?" and brandished a knife, which he used to slash the victim's left hand. The driver then fled in his car.

A woman, 28, was sitting at a table in the hotel lobby working on her laptop when a thief grabbed her bag from the table. When he tried to exit the hotel, he displayed a knife to hotel staff who tried to stop him.

While a man was taking pictures, a stranger snatched his phone. When the victim tried to retrieve it, the thief threw it into the river.

A man went on vacation, leaving his $2,000 bike, unlocked, on the first floor of his building. It was stolen.
6/24, 10:30 pm, 40 Harrison St., Independence Plaza
A woman left her apartment door unlocked so that her brother could come in. At about 11 pm, she heard her dog barking and she got up to lock the door. When she awoke in the morning there were multiple alerts on her phone for charges on her debit card, including a liquor store and a Boost Mobile store, for a total of $800. Before she went to sleep, she had placed her wallet on a shelf in the apartment.

Two men were seen on video forcefully pulling on the door until it opened and then removing packages from the common area. The value of their contents was $301.

A stranger got into an argument with a man, called him a "faggot," and struck the victim with a sccrewdriver causing minor lacerations to his forehead and ankle. The assailant then fled on a southbound A train.

While at work, a man received photos of dead people on his cell phone, along with texts that said he would end up like those people if he did not send money. After blocking the number, the man received texts from a different number. He did not send money.

A shirtless male in his early 20s came up behind a man filling his MetroCard and asked for money. When he refused, the other man said to him, "Give me your wallet and don't call for help." The victim gave him his wallet and the thief fled, jumping over the turnstile.

A man who was selling water briefly left his bag unattended. It was stolen. The thief used the victim's credit card, spending $300 at a smoke shop on 14th Street.

A 26-year-old man was approached from behind by an assailant, approximaately 25 years old, who said, "Fuck you, give me your bike," and then punched the victim and wrestled the Citibike away from him. The victim, who sustained minor injuries, tried to follow the mugger, who was last seen going westbound on Bridge Street.

While en route to the 2/3 platform, a man was approached by two teens, approximately 18 and 19 years old, one of whom asked him for his phone, saying, "I want to call my mother." The man gave him the phone and when he tried to get it back the teens fled with it.

A woman received a bill from Verizon for an account that she had never opened.
6/16, 4:55 pm, 88 Pine St. plaza
A thief shoved a 60-year-old woman and took her cell phone from her hand. The victim managed to recover the phone after a struggle. Police arrested a 32-year-old Brooklyn man and charged him with 3rd degree robbery and 2nd degree harrassment.
6/14, 4:30 pm, Icon parking, 15 Cliff St.
A woman reported that her husband parked their car at the garage and when he returned the next morning, a parking attendant informed him that someone else had been given the car during the night.
A burglar entered an apartment through an unlocked door. The resident heard a noise and saw a man at the bottom of the stairs with a pile of clothes in his hands. The burglar dropped a shirt and jeans and fled with a $100 shirt.

A 26-year-old woman who was coming home was attacked in front of her building. The assailant grabbed her from behind by her hair and pulled her to the ground, slamming her head multiple times into the sidewalk. He took her purse, iPhone, headphones, and wallet and fled. The victim suffered swelling and substantial pain.

A Lower Manhattan woman, 42, was talking to a man she didn’t know when he suddenly grabbed a can of Lysol and sprayed her face. The suspect, a 36-year-old Bronx resident, was arrested and charged with assault.

A motorcycle was stolen, despite steering and wheel locks.

A 36-year-old resident of the building received a call from someone who said they were State Police and that his Social Security number was compromised. They ordered the man to wire money to a Bank of East Asia account, threatening him that if he failed to do so the Texas police would arrest him. The victim wired $36,000 to the account.

A store owner who closed up at 4:30 pm returned the next day to discover the front window shattered. The store’s broken registers were found behind 80 Broad St. and approximately $1,150 had been removed.

An unknown person hacked a man's Coinbase account and transferred Bitcoin in eight transactions equaling $27,969.88 sending them to different cryptocurrency wallets.

Two people who met on Hinge, a dating app, exchanged nude photos and videos. Shortly afterwards, one of them demanded $3,000, threatening to send the photos to their contact list. The victim sent $500. A similar incident occurred on May 30. See below.

A person on CougarD, a dating app for older women seeking younger men, asked a man to send naked pictures of himself. After the victim complied, he received a demand of $1,000 in credit or gift cards. Otherwise, he was told, the photos would be sent to all the victim’s contacts.

A construction manager left his office to do an inspection of the job site. When he returned, he discovered that his laptop and other items were gone.

A man locked his ebike to a scaffold with a chain lock. When he returned 20 minutes later, it was gone.

Three robbers approached a 23-year-old man and forced him to remove money from two ATMs. One was in a gift shop at 20 Vesey, where the victim took out $300, the second withdrawal was $100 from an ATM at 30 Vesey. The victim said he complied with the robbers because he felt intimidated by them.

A man who was sleeping on a platform bench awoke to find someone going through his pockets. The victim chased the suspect through the station, approaching officers on the upper level. During a canvas of the station, the victim spotted the suspect, who attempted to flee but was apprehended by police. The suspect was wanted for burglary and had an active bench warrant for disorderly conduct.

Ourmar Diallo, 61, was charged with 2nd degree assault for allegedly striking an 18-year-old man multiple times with a stick, causing red marks to his chest and a small cut to his left hand.
Screwdriver used in attack on tourist in subway: police
A Bronx man stabbed a tourist with a screwdriver on the #2 train Sunday, May 9, as the train pulled into the Chambers Street station just before 8 p.m, police said. The 43-year-old victim, visiting with his family from Ecuador, was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition with puncture wounds in the chest and left arm, police said. Authorities said the suspect, Peterson Merant, 26, was “immediately placed under arrest” on the southbound platform of the station. He was charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal posession of a weapon.
Three arrested in gunpoint robberies of teens in Battery Park City
Teens became victims of two armed robberies within minutes of each other in north Battery Park City on Friday evening, May 7, police said.
Three teenage boys approached three girls, a 16-year-old and two 17-year-olds, outside Stuyvesant High School around 10:30 p.m. and displayed a black handgun before taking a bag from one of the victims, police said. Following a “brief canvas,” police said, they spotted the suspects, two 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old, walking south on West Street and took them into custody. A firearm was recovered, police said. The three teens are charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
The next afternoon, a 17-year-old boy walked into the 1st precinct and reported that he had been robbed the evening before, at 10:40 p.m. outside 211 North End Ave, the address of The Verdesian apartment building. The boy said he was approached by three teenage males who took his wallet and articles of clothing after they displayed a handgun. Police said the trio fit the description of the suspects who had been arrested.
Two young victims of robbery on Chambers Street
According to police, two suspects approached brothers, 12- and 14-years-old, at Chambers Street and Broadway around 2:30 p.m. on May 4, and asked for the time. They then said, let me see your phone. After handing over the phones the suspects asked for the password to unlock the phone. A third suspect then approached and asked the victims if they had a wallet, at the same time patting both of the boys. That suspect then said to them, "If you don't give me your wallet I will cut you." The boys handed over their wallets. A Queens man, 38, became involved in a verbal dispute with two other men who were strangers. One of them slashed the left side of the victim’s face with a knife and then struck him on the other side of his face with the handle of a machete. The two men then fled.

Woman Threatened in Anti-Asian Incident in Tribeca
Police are looking for a man they said made an anti-Asian remark and raised a closed fist to a 47-year-old woman walking near the corner of Desbrosses and Hudson Streets on April 1, around 9:30 a.m. The woman ran away and the individual fled south on Hudson Street, police said. The woman was not injured. The man muttered something to the woman and the only word she could make out was “Asian,” according to the Daily News. Two men ate at the restaurant and then left without paying. Two employees tried to stop them outside and one was punched in the face by one of the men. The two workers backed away and as the men fled one of them pointed a gun at the workers and fired multiple rounds into the air. The two men drove off north on William Street in a silver Mercedes. Kwami Bowen, 23, from the Bronx, was arrested and charged with robbery.

He told police that he did not remember what transpired after that. The next morning he realized that his iPhone and debit card were missing.The thieves withdrew $999.75 in five different ATM transactions.

The garage attendant received a call from someone who said he was from Zipcar and claiming that someone would be picking up a car. Two people then arrived at the garage and the attendant brought them the car. They then drove away. The attendant failed to follow the procedure for releasing a car, which requires that a customer use his own Zipcar key to unlock the door.
Parents, 1-year-old, slashed on State Street
A 30-year-old Upper Manhattan man is charged with attempted murder in the slashing of three members of a family near The Battery on State Street around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31. Police say that Darryl Jones cut the father, 22, in the head and the mother on the lip. Their 1-year-old son was slashed on the chin. Jones was arrested near the scene and the weapon was recovered, police said. The victims were treated by EMS at the scene. Along with attempted murder in the 2nd degree, Jones is charged with three counts of 2nd degree criminal assualt, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal posession of a controlled substance.
Jones was paroled last month after serving seven years in prison for attempted murder, Police Commissioner Dermot Shea told CNN.
"While we were going to sit down in the park, he came up behind me and attacked me first," the mother told the Daily News. "Then my husband, then he went for our baby."'
Jones' lawyer, Edward McGowan of Neghborhood Defender Services, told the Daily News that the suspect had been struggling with drug addiction. "There's nothing in the complaint that sets forth facts that Mr. Jones came 'dangerously close' to killing anybody," he said.
The victims are Hasidic Jews and police said the slashing is being investigated as a possible bias crime.

Suspect charged in assault on subway passenger in Tribeca
While riding the #1 train through the Franklin Street station Friday afternoon, March 19, an assailant sucker punched a 65-year-old passenger in the head, knocking the victim unconscious and sending him, bloodied, to the hospital where he was in critical but stable condition. The alleged attacker, Marc Mathieu, 36, of the Bronx, was arrested shortly afterwards at the Staten Island Ferry terminal and charged with 2nd degree assault. Mathieu had been arrested and released the day before, charged with menacing and criminal mischief in the Bronx, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.
As of Tuesday, the attack was being investigated as a hate crime. A witness told the Daily News that Mathieu, who is black, yelled at the victim, who reportedly is Sri Lankan, “You motherf—ing Asian.”
Mathieu’s mother-in-law told the News: “He’s got psychoaffective disorder, he’s bipolar, he’s got a whole lot of issues.”
A Manhattan Criminal Court judge set Mathieu’s bail at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

The food vendor received a call from an unknown man claiming to be an IRS investigator, and providing an ID number. He then received a call from a second man who said he was from 1 Police Plaza and that there was an arrest warrant out for him. The scammer asked how many bank accounts he had and the victim told him the number of accounts, which banks and how much money was in the banks. The scammer, whose number was the same as the general information number for 1 Police Plaza, told the victim to withdraw $5,000. At the scammer’s request, he purchased a $500 Nike gift card and gave the numbers of the card to the caller, who sent the victim the QR code to be scanned at a store on Canal Street. Total loss to victim: $500 and all personal financial information including Social Security number.

A store employee is suspected of stealing property and then returning it at the store register for cash. Over the course of almost two years, the male suspect, a 31-year-old Manhattan resident, reportedly took $29,858 worth of property.

Suspect wanted in assault and burglary pattern
Police are looking for a man they say committed a series of assaults and burglaries in Manhattan, including two in Lower Manhattan. He is accused of a stabbing on Pearl Street on Feb. 13. (See item below) and on Feb. 9, police say, the suspect entered the Gumbae restaurant at 67 Murray St. and took an iPad from the front desk. The suspect is also accused of burglary at a restaurant on 32nd Street, assault of a 60-year-old woman on a Union Square sidewalk, and the theft of two tablets and $250 in cash from a 64th Street restaurant.

A charge for $205 was made at 1:20 am on one of the cards She subsequently cancelled all her cards.
Man stabbed on Worth Street near Civic Center
A 36-year-old Chinatown resident was in serious condition on Friday, Feb. 26, after being stabbed by an assailant on Worth Street, near Baxter, in the 5th Precinct. Salman Muflehi, 23, of Brooklyn, is charged with attempted murder and posession of a weapon. Because the man he allegedly attacked is Asian American, Muflehi had been charged with assault as a hate crime, but that charge was dropped.
“Just a couple of more steps and I would have been the victim,” said Wellington Chen, who was near the victim when he was stabbed. “This guy came charging, like a jackrabbit, out from the Foley Square area to where the [Federal] courthouse is and he shoved the [victim]. It turned out he plunged a knife into him.” Chen, who is executive director of the Chinatown Partnership, thought the two may have been kidding around and said he didn’t realize the man had been wounded. “The guy ran back the way he came from…When I got home that’s when I found out.”
Police say Muflihi, who reportedly has a history of mental illness, has two prior arrests for assault and one for robbery. According to the Daily News, he was charged in 2019 with assaulting his brother, and charged again this year with attacking a man in Sunset Brooklyn.

A 30-year-old woman went to sleep at 10:30 pm without locking the apartment door because her boyfriend was coming home later in the night. She lost her Gucci wallet containing a debit and credit cards, insurance card, and a Massachusetts ID.

The woman fought off her attacker and he fled. There were no known injuries. Police are looking for the man in the above surveillance video.

While two officers tried to remove a man from the station for smoking, the man spit on one of the officers. As he resisted arrest, the man injured the cop’s elbow and headbutted the other officer, causing him to fall down a staircase, injuring his hand and face and causing pain to his right leg. The assailant was arrested and charged with felony assault.

A man put his $1,250 fur-trimmed Mackage coat inside a locker. When he returned from working out, the lock was open and the coat was gone.

A woman was on the southbound train. While the train was being held at Franklin Street, she took out her $420 Samsung phone. When the doors opened, a thief stepped into the car, grabbed her phone, and fled.

A man was standing outside a restaurant when a stranger began arguing with him. The assailant then went into the restaurant, returned with a knife and stabbed him in the face causing a puncture wound along the victim's left cheek. The attacker then fled southbound on Pearl Street.

A stranger approached two men standing on the sidewalk, told them he was a police officer and demanded to see their IDs. When the two took out their wallets, the man grabbed the wallets, took out their money and said that if they didn't leave he would kill them. The man, along with two accomplices who acted as look-outs from across the street, then fled east on Walker Street. Together, the victims lost $150. According to the New York Post, the muggers proceeded to Chinatown where they beat up a vendor who had argued with them and then followed the men into the Canal Street subway station.
2/3 train, Broadway and Park Place, 2/10, 5:10 pm
A woman was waiting on the platform when a mugger came up behind her and snatched her phone from her hand. In addition to her $799 iPhone, the woman also lost her driver's license, bank card and Metrocard. On Feb. 23, the NYPD released the above photo of the person they are looking for in connection with the crime.

A male thief put $1,151 worth of make-up in a bag and walked out of the store.

A resident left his iPhone in a package in the lobby to be picked up and returned to Apple. He then began receiving notifications to his new phone of unauthorized purchases up to $3,008. The victim's old phone had all his financial information in the Apple wallet app.

Two women acted in concert to steal two t-shirts with a total value of $2,500. One of the women distracted a store employee while the other put the shirts on under her clothing in the fitting room.

A man entered a car at the Chambers Street stop, snatched a rider's $700 Samsung Galaxy phone and fled.
In front of 20 Pine St., 2/7, 6:15 pm
A man got into a verbal dispute with another man after accusing him of hitting his car. When the accused man suggested calling the police, the other man became angry, punched him in the head and snatched his gold necklace. Before fleeing, the assailant also kicked the car twice, denting it.
J Train Station, Exchange and Broad, 2/6, 8:45 a.m.
After getting on the train a woman realized her wallet was missing. When the victim notified the bank, she was told a charge had been made at a MetroCard machine. The woman lost three bank cards, her Illinois drivers license, a Ted Baker leather wallet and an amount of cash unspecified by the NYPD.

A woman left the room and when she returned an hour later, she saw that her son had injuries to his neck and a swollen lip. Her daughter who was in the room reported that the woman's boyfriend had struck the boy with a towel. He was arrested.
Aloft Downtown Hotel, 49 Ann St., sometime before 2/4
The hotel's general manager, who was responsible for taking cash to the bank, stole $10,092. When confronted, he said, "I have to come clean. I did take the money and can't pay it back."
80 Nassau St., 2/2, bet. 1 and 6:45 am
A man wearing all black and a red facemask and carrying a green bookbag and a black suitcase entered the building through the basement and first tried, unsuccessfully, to force open two office doors with a fire extinguisher. He managed to break into a third room, damaging the door handle and lock, but nothing was reported missing.

A 36-year-old assailant was arrested after pushing a stranger, 26, onto the tracks. The victim hurt his ankle, leg and hand.

A thief stole $1,468 worth of printer ink cartridges. This is the third reported theft from Target and the second of ink cartridges in four days. See Jan. 27.
Dunkin' Donuts, Fulton Transit Center, 1/29, 11:10 pm
A 26-year-old man was about to buy something when six assailants, four men and two women, attacked him, punching the victim in the face and spraying him with pepper spray. While attempting to get away, the gang grabbed his backpack and fled towards a platform. The victim, who refused medical attention, suffered bruising to the left side of his face and a small cut to one eye. He lost a leather wallet, containing credit and debit cards, and a phone charger.

A 67-year-old man was riding on the bike lane. As he approached a man who was blocking the lane, the man punched him in the chest. The victim, who fell off the bike, suffered chest pains and scratches and bruises on his hands. The assailant fled.
Luxury Lash NY, 141 Fulton St., 1/23, 4 am
Two burglars broke into the salon and took cash and an Apple computer, with a total value of $1,700.
