'Hard Hat Reading Series' brings the poets to you
Poets House is closed due to the pandemic and a flood [1], but the Battery Park City literary institution still has something to offer. It’s the “Hard Hat Reading Series [2],” which brings readings on video by different poets who select one poem from the collection, and one of his or her own. The most recent (as of this writing) is from the former U.S. Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy K. Smith [3]. Others include Monca Youn [4] and Poets House interim director Cornelius Eady [5]. Coming up on Feb. 3 is Laure-Anne Bosselaar, who will read a poem by Executive Director Emerita Lee Briccetti and one from her collection, “A New Hunger.”
