NYPD Releases Images of Suspects in Tribeca, FiDi Package Thefts

Surveillance video, furnished by the NYPD, of suspect in connection with the theft of delivered packages at 40 Harrison Street in Independence Plaza.

Package burglars have struck in Tribeca and on lower Broadway, according to police, who recently released photos and surveillance video of the alleged thieves.

UPS STORE, 7 BROADWAY

Police say the same man twice last month broke into a UPS store on lower Broadway and stole packages. 

On Feb. 7 and again on Feb. 9, police said, the alleged burglar broke the window of the store at 71 Broadway, taking eight packages the first time and four the second. Both thefts occurred at about 7:30 p.m., police said.

40 HARRISON STREET, TRIBECA

NYPD video of suspect wanted in the theft of packages at 40 Harrison Street.

A man entered the lobby of 40 Harrison Street, a high-rise residential building in Independence Plaza, at about 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 11. Police say he approached the person behind the security desk, took two delivered packages, and fled on foot. The thief is described as 40-to-50 years old and last seen wearing a varsity jacket, dark pants and dark hat.
