Police on Thursday said they have arrested the man who on Tuesday pushed a 34-year-old woman onto the tracks from the southbound express platform of the Chambers Street 1,2,3 subway station. Samuel Junker, 41, whose listed address is a White Plaines homeless shelter, is charged with felony assault.

Around 11 p.m. Junker approached the victim from behind before shoving her off the platform, according to police. The victim was transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital where she was treated for a leg fracture. Bystanders helped the woman climb back onto the platform. No train was arriving at the time. Ive seen articles about this before, but I never thought something like this would happen to me, the victim, a recent immigrant from China now walking on crutches, told ABC7 News.
