A Washington Market Park Halloween, In Pictures

There is no Tribeca tradition older or more beloved than Washington Market Park’s Halloween Parade and celebration, put on by Friends of Washington Market Park. Add to that the park’s Pumpkin Carving Contest and scarifying decorations, and the festivities seem to just get bigger and more fun by the year. The Oct. 30 event was again led down Greenwich Street by the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps Marching Band (recently renamed the Queer Big Apple Corps Marching Band), plus stilt walkers from Suellen’s Tumbling. Then the costumed crowd made its way into the park for a rousing concert by the band.

Pumpkin Carving Creativity Returns to the Park
